Head of Geography  

Required for September 2026.

We are looking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Head of Department to lead our geography department from September 2026.  We are seeking an individual who has a proven track record of innovative approaches to teaching and someone who can continue to raise achievement in the department.  The successful candidate will be able to: lead a supportive, well-motivated team with a strong ethos for collaborative and shared practice; teach across the full ability range at both GCSE and A Level and work in an environment with a strong emphasis on professional development. 

Macmillan Academy is situated in Middlesbrough on Teesside and was rated good by Ofsted in the most recent inspection. We have over 1500 students on roll, including 300 in Post 16.  Our strong reputation for academic success is matched by our desire to provide a holistic education for every student.
