Learning Support Base Room Lead

37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 days, plus 5 training days
Salary range: NJC Scale Point: 15-17 – Actual salary: £25,682 – £26,536 (pay award pending)
Macmillan Academy is seeking to appoint a dynamic, compassionate and forward-thinking Room Lead for our Learning Support Base, located within our SEND department. The Learning Support Base Room Lead will support both academic progress and personal development of SEND students.
About the role
You will work directly with our SEND students, building powerful relationships that raise confidence, aspiration and achievement.
You will:
- Provide personalised learning support (individual and small group) for students with SEND who need additional support
- Monitor the progress of SEND students who access this provision as part of their personalised timetable
- Work with a variety of stakeholders, including: students, parents, staff and other external agencies.
